Pentti Sarpaneva for Riihimaki amber glass vase with bronze surround

This vase was designed by the Finnish designer Pentti Sarpaneva for Riihimaki.
The colour grades from a dark amber at the top to very pale amber at flat base.
The pressed glass square vase is decorated with raised ridged spheres and demi-spheres .

The top has a bronze collar that has an open work pattern on two sides and a solid panel on the other two sides.
The base is signed "Pentti Sarpaneva Oy Kumela".

Not dated but made in the late 1960s possibly into the early 1970s.
